Sunday, August 1: (6:00-9:00pm): Senior High Youth will be helping the residents of Bridgewater Home to chapel service, follwed by dinner.

Sunday, August 8: (6:00-9:00):  Summer Meeting following the 5@5 Concert

Saturday, August 14: (Time TBA):  Day trip to go rock climbing, or to swimming holes, or down the river. 

Sunday, August 15: (6:00-9:00pm): Summer Meeting--Pool Party after 5@5

Upcoming Event Reminders:

National Youth Conference--The youth and advisors that attended the 2010 National Youth Conference in Fort Collins, Colorado would like to thank the church, and the youth group for making the trip possible.  The conference was uplifting and inspiring and was a great way for each of the youth and advisors to grow in faith.

Upcoming Junior High Activities and Important Dates:.

The Junior High group meets each Wednesday from 6:00-8:00.  Each Meeting consists of dinner together, Christian Education time and the Recreation fellowship together during the school year.  There is not cost to these meetings.  During the summer, the youth group meets twice per month.  Money is typically needed for snacks and some activities for these evenings

Summer Meetings begin on June 9 and will last until the end of August. 

Wednesday, August 4: (6:30-9:00)--Summer Meeting--Pool Party--Eat dinner before the meeting and plan to meet at the church at 6:30 and bring a seimsuit and a bag of your favorite snack food to share.

Sunday, August 15: (12:00-4:30):  Jr. High Youth and Family Kayak/Rafting Trip:  This trip is open to al Junior High youth and their families that would like to go.  Everyone needs to bring a lunch to eat on the way to the river, wear shoes that cover your toes and the tops of your feet, and coat up with sunscreen.  We will take a mix of kayaks and rafts based on how many people sign up.  Sign-up with Derek by Thursday August 12.  There is no cost to this trip and we will return in time for 5@5 .

August 17, 18 and Maybe 19: Junior High Youth Service Day camp at the church.  We are planning to work with some of Julie Foster's students doing a two or three day service day camp.  We will begin Tuesday morning with an orientation, then welcome Julie's students, do some group building activities as a large group and have lunch.  After lunch we will prepare food for the Salvation Army Shelter meal and later serve that meal together.  We are still finalizing plans, times and other projects, but we plan to culmnate our time together with a raft trip down the river on Wednesday or Thursday.  Watch for more details soon!

Wednesday, Sept. 1: Kick off Night for 2010/2011 School Year:  We will kick-off our new year of meetings with a special activity.  Wach for more details!
